Luidmila Shobe
Head Coach

A former Soviet National Team coach and coach of three-time Olympian , Svetlana Boguinskaia, Luidmila has been training American gymnasts in the Russian traditional since 1989. The North Carolina Women’s Gymnastics organization named North Carolina Coach of the Year in 2008.She has successfully developed the Southeastern Gymnastics competitive team for over 10 years and has had numerous State, Regional, and National Champions.

Galena  Meliakina
Competitive Coach

Galena choreographed beam and floor routines for the USSR National Team from 1982 – 1990. She choreographed routines for the Canadian National Team before joining Southeastern Gymnastics in 2004. Galena has worked with European and American Champions Dominique Dawes, Kristin Maloney, Elena Shushunova, and Oksana Omelianchik.

Nikolai Cherchen 
Competitive Coach

Nikolai graduated in 1994 from St. Petersburg State Academy in Russia. His experience includes coaching at Bublewicz Sports Championship College in Olsztyn, Poland and Nysa Sport Club in Nysa, Poland. Nikolai joined Southeastern Gymnastics in 2001.

Lizvette Soto
Competitive Coach

Lizvette competed in gymnastics in her native country of Puerto Rico. Active in judging for many years in North Carolina, she has coached alongside Luidmila Shobe for many years.
