The Piedmont Gymnastics Organization is pleased to host the Inaugural Region 8 2010
Prep-Optional Regional Championship Meet – the Queen City Crown! April 23-25, 2010.
The Meet
The meet will be held Friday, April 23 – Sunday April 26, 2010 and all eligible Prep-Op gymnasts in Region 8 are invited to participate.
The meet will be held in the lovely, spacious Cabarrus County Convention Center in Concord, NC. Excellent judges from across the Region 8 area will preside and tons of beautiful medals and colorful team banners will be awarded. Special guests will entertain and we are planning a special visit from a former Olympian to speak during the awards ceremonies.

The weekend should be fun for your entire family – for all NASCAR fans:  you already know this part of the world as the Mecca of NASCAR and motor sports. If NASCAR isn’t your cup of tea, don’t worry! The immediate area offers lots of entertainment options including shopping, fine dining, and recreational sports. Please visit the Cabarrus County Visitor’s Bureau for a complete listing of all shopping, dining, and recreational options.
Host Hotels
We have carefully selected three meet Host Hotels – thank you to the Hilton Garden Inn, the Wingate Inn, and the Sleep Inn for supporting this meet and our gymnasts!!! They have promised a great hotel visit for us. Easy to find and conveniently located less than a mile from one of the region’s best outlet shopping mall, Concord Mills, and nestled in the middle of multiple casual dining restaurants, these hotels could not be more convenient.
Stay informed through meet information updated daily and posted at each Host Hotel. Also, they are each offering different meet amenities not available anywhere else --- evening receptions, popcorn, cookies, goody bags and area coupons ---- Please experience true Southern hospitality and book your hotel with our host hotels!
